Default First issue with Clair :(

Had the car in for the "Auto Light" TSB, which is to replace the rear view mirror. Drivers seat plastic panel broke and was peeling, so that was replaced. Diagnose "poping" and "creaking" noise from drivers seat.

So I go to pick up my car, looked at the invoice and everything looked good. It said "drivers seat removed, plastic trim replaced and re-installed seat". Great I thought.

Sign, wait for my car, put my stuff in the back seat and wow. Grease marks all over the drivers seat, airbag side and along the seam above the power seat controls. Grease stains on the B pillar, just below the seatbelt, side moulding along the frame of drivers seat was slit up (my guess from the drivers seat being removed).

I asked Derek to come out and take a look and he was pissed. He asked for my invoice to see which tech worked on my car and apparently it's a tech they've been having issues with. Guess this is the last straw for him.

Derek was nice enough to spend 1/2 hour trying to clean up the mess but in the end, no avail. Marks were still visible, though better. He said he would get all those parts replaced for me, I just had to give the service manager a call and tell him what happened.

First issue in many many years but at least they stepped up and will do what it takes to fix it! AND the drivers seat doesn't make any more noises!!! Props to Clair, knew I picked this dealer for a reason =P

They're service seems to be great so far. Unfortunately they cant control what one person is going to do, glad to hear how they handled it though! They easily coulda said, f' off, we dont care, like most dealers would. +1!

Default But Still.... no quality control

after the repair was done. By not doublechecking the greasemonkies' work, they now have the embarrassment to deal with.

Actually, part of the SA's job is quality control. I know SA's that drive every car.

Default Probably the same mechanic that worked on my car.

Clair did step up and Steve, the Service Manager, did immediately upon seeing the scratches tell the sevice rep to schedule body shop time for my car to fix it. But, Clair was able to buff them out so a body shop wasn't needed.

Clair definitely stepped up and took care of it the right way... But I still feel like it shouldn't have happened in the first place. That mechanic's gotta go.

by the way... I had a bad igniter for the headlight... so it was replaced... and in the process of replacing it they scratched up the bumper and quarter panel.

Default Got ya. Most will drive after the tech is finished but prior to wash.

Still, the SA should have spotted the mess. It's obvious that he did not check the car.

Default 3rd.. my dealer would say "Those were there when you dropped it off". They said this to me after..

I pointed out a 2ft scrath on my hood. I alway tell them not to wash my cash.. Well, they did and they scratched it. They buffed it out, but I now I have swirl marks instead of a scratch.. figures.
