I caught the mod bug
After asking some questions on these forums about DIY mods and I decided to go for it. I did a few minor things this weekend. First I did the stealth tail lights then changed the spark plugs to copper tipped, changed the air filter and the final change was blacking out the front grille. The front grill looks amazing. I am so happy with the way it looks. I did not do the lower grille yet, because I am not sure how to get it off. Does anybody know? Also I got an air filter from Autozone and it was a different thickness then the audi one I took out. Will this be a problem? Length and width wise it was fine. Also washed me car which was fun. Now all I can think about is what I want to do next.

BOV/DV I kinda want that woosh noise but not sure

No BOV. End of discussion.
It will make your car run rich because it is metered air (MAF) and putting into the atmosphere will screw up how much air the ECU thinks it has... long story short... no BOV unless you need it. As in my setup where i have no MAF and no intake.

I don't think you'll gain anything with an N249 delete, unless you plan on running a...
...stutter box as well.
You can get the whoosh noise if you get an open element intake. You can still run the stock DV that way.
