Disclaimer: Not meant to offend all the Bay Area people, but it's time for a real "NorCal Forum"
Plus for some of us, who are in the east bay, we enjoy reading about the Sac area (during winter).
And finally- with all the problems with the migration to VB, new forums will most likely be on the end of a long list of bugs/requests that have to be addressed.
I agree that this has become's wnut's zagat guide, but at the same time without his posts, we would be looking a covering 30 days per 100 thread/page ;-)
How hot was it yesterday in Redding, by the way?
I would answer this person's post if I could, I just don't have any knowledge of Santa Rosa. Let's see how many responses it gets.

https://forums.audiworld.com/norcal/msgs/68939.phtml</a

The only reason the SF bay gets a lot of attention on here is because people are posting and creating a community out of it.
I know the sac crew exists, but just doesn't post nearly as much...
But it also seems even for a high population market with lots of Audi's to already be kind of sucking wind to be blunt. Having searched for a cabriolet in Tahoe as another market for example for many months across a lot of the normal internet sites, I just didn't see critical mass generally about Audi's in that geography; that also crossed over to Reno to a fair extent. It's great of course that there are enthusiasts out there!
I have an interest in Tahoe, but if there is no posting volume I worry it would be a flop and finding the rare post here would turn into like no posts. Admittedly the cabrio is super low volume, and here on AW the board is about the sleepiest I've seen. 4.2 board is another example I just gave up on completely, yet I own a 2000 4.2 A6 and know a lot about it. Unfortunately I see a lot of the boards I check here also flagging--wheels, brakes, etc. Net, I would be careful about too much fragmentation, and would rather sort through the chafe than have it go so low volume people give up to start with or it has no buzz at all.
But I also have a B6 A4 and that forum is pretty busy. So if you have a car that is associated with a forum that is near dead, I feel your pain. I do appreciate the B6 A4 forum and all the info I glean from it.
I would like to hear a lot more from our fringes. Thanks for writing Chris, we want to hear from you and any others that think you don't fit in here.
