Outrageous!
One of the little do-hickey/nuts that holds the rear license plate onto the car gave up the ghost and disappeared into the trunk lid panel that holds the plate on my 2005 A8.
Carlsen Audi wanted two hours of labor (at $140 per hour) plus tax, etc. to replace it. Total retail cost of the part 75 cents. I semi-politely refused. They also didn't see why I felt that this repair could be covered under warrantee.
I'll hand it to them, they were perfectly pleasant about the whole thing, even when I suggested that $300 to replace a part that's clearly visible and made out of pot metal was outrageous.

yo nut...have you realized this is the 2nd time you and i have known each other's contacts/friends in totally different contexts? And we've run into them at random situations like tonight? Small world for us at least!
