I agree but Okemo is far for a day trip.

 

I can drive to Huntah in 1.5 hours. Why bother with Okemo when they'll have the same conditions as Huntah? Stowe got over a foot of new snow yesterday, and expecting another foot today into tomorrow. If I'm gonna drive to VT, it aint gonna be to lame-*** Okemo.

According to the Stowe mountain official snow report....Season Total snowfall: 14". Hmm...I guess that de-bunks your theory of "Stowe got over a foot of snow yesterday". Yep...Stowe sure does rock with their 2 trails and 1 lift running....compared to Okemo's 15 trails and 5 lifts. I love Stowe as well...but I think you have a little too big of a hard-on for it. The only reason I always say Okemo is cuase its not TOO far away....just another reason for Tom to hate a little more.

Here's a copy from the Stowe website:

News & Events: We've had the guns cranked up to 11 since the weekend (Not to mention OVER A FOOT of the real stuff falling here since then!), and Stowe is open with top-to-bottom skiing and riding on Mount Mansfield, serviced by the FourRunner Quad, starting at 8am!

They also had a snowstorm in mid-November that dumped over 2 feet of snow. They consider the "season total" what fell since they re-opened 2 days ago chief.

Also, let's take a look at this week's weather forecast for both places....

Or, we could compare average annual snowfall totals for the two:

Stowe: 288 inches (24 feet)
Okemo: 200 inches (16 feet) &lt;--That's 8 feet less.

Also, let's not forget that over Thanksgiving weekend Okemo wasn't even open all the way to the base. Or the fact that at Okemo the same trail is an average of .3 miles shorter and has 4 different names from top to bottom. 5 lifts open? That's because they're too cheap to open one that goes from the base to the top. I guess they do this because they know that in early and late season, they need "mid-way access". Lame.

So now you know why I ride Stowe, bitch. Because it kicks Okemo's pathetic ***. Do I need to make ma-dukes take a pic of the back porch and post it here?
