2 Point Zero - Are u tuned yet? Is it running?
#2
Running yes, fully tuned no.
The car is tuned for part throttle just not full throttle yet. GIAC asked me to pick up the car because they have a few other chip projects they have to finish first which are for production cars and will be sold thru the dealers, so I picked up the car since they dont have room to store it and I did not want to have it sitting outside of their shop during that time. Dynamic said I could store it at their shop but I decided to take it back home so I can do some small mods to it while I have it.
When I drove it home I was able to make 7psi by 3200 rpms just at part throttle, car pulls pretty hard and is very loud when I let off the throttle since the wastegate just has a dump tube.

Re: Running yes, fully tuned no.- why so long??
I have never worked on a chip that took more than 2-3 hrs (usually minutes) to tune on a dyno. Who does chips over days and WHY would it take so long?
Pls. help me understand this, is the chip new to the tuner? Did you delete a MAF or other piece normally there?

The setup is completely custom.
I am using a 3.5" maf housing and 800cc dual pulse PE injectors that are used for the WRX/STI line up. This is more then a 1 day tune since there is no base chip to run it off of and must be programmed from scratch. Must also take into fact that this is on a 2000 DBW car running a ndbw AEB head without a secondary air pump.
Just so you understand, even most of the WRX tuners still have problems tuning these PE injectors and they were designed to work in that car.
