2001 A6

Whenever I start my engine, I of course let it warm up for AT LEAST 10 minutes, the car will jump a little over first gear and idle there for a little then maybe after 5-6 minutes it will quiet down and go below first gear. My car is an automatic. Yes the engine light is on. I am taking it in to get it checked but I wanted to seen what you guys thought.it runs fine. Also whenever I start it it almost sounds like the fan is getting old because I can hear it well when I start the car. I don't feel the gears slipping when im driving it and it gets out of first to second on to third fine.
