Would a 2.3 10v high compression engine work well with a wild cam & turbo setup? What other type's of engine can i put into my 86 4000CS Quattro with relative ease. (Staying within the 5 cylinder range also). Im going to be pouring around $4500 into the car and i want to know what i can get done for how much. Or just the engine (I can put it in myself.)

...keep the bottom end of the 4K. It has an acceptable compression of 8.5:1 which is good for a turbo car. Throw on a rebuilt turbo head from Blau and 5K turbo intake and exhaust manifold, turbo and go with the 034efi setup. You'll be over 250hp in a 2800lb car.
