Default A4 Bodykit question...

I went to this notorious german car performance shop in my hometown to talk to them about bodykit installation, and they told me that they only do Advant Garde and Reiger because all other Audi A4 bodykits dont fit the car right. WTF?? Is this true, becuase I reallly want to get the Projecktzwo bodykit. From my previous experiences with this place, I think they are just telling me that because they would make more money from the 2 kits they only recommend. Anyone have info on other bodykits, and how they fit?

Default um... A! kits don't *quite* fit right either (m)

never seen the Reiger kit in person, so i can't comment on it.

chances are, if the kit is designed for the european models of A4, it won't fit. the rear bumpers of the north american A4 is a bit longer than the european counterparts (crash protection), so the bodykit will be slightly shorter. you will notice this when you look at the rear fender. the bodykit will end about 1/2 inch before the wheel well. its no biggie... all you have to do is ask the bodyshop to mould another piece of material to fill that gap.

the projektzwo kit does require cutting of your stock front bumper for the body kit to fit (doesn't matter if its euro or NA... both the same). this will leave a line along the front bumper (its ok... not that bad). the solution, is again, to mould the kit into the front bumper. the end result is amazing... nice, smooth lines to compliment the A4's own lines (projektzwo is my first choice too).

hope that helps.

Default Sunny is right. (danger, large pic)

Any kit designed for the Euro bumpers (and I think all of them are) will have the slight mismatch at the trailing edge of the rear wheel opening. But the 1/2" rear bumper mismatch on the Projektzwo kit is so small nobody has EVER noticed it on our shop car. See for yourself.
