Default A4 Break in time

I just rolled off the lot today in my new 2001.5 A4 1.8tq. And i forgot to ask the dealer how long before i can start "having real fun in the car?" Any past A4 buyers could you help me out with this...I mean how many miles before I can start whipping the thing around...and before i chip and exhaust it?

i have the 2000 1.8t quattro and i have had limited mercy on it. you may want to put about 100-200 miles on first, but, it wont be too much of a problem. now with Porsches, you need more break in time, but youll be ok with the audi.

Default You manual has some info...

Basically dont do anything extreme for the first 1000 miles to let things settle in together. I would add, dont be too gentle on it either.
