abs control unit replacement

abs control unit replacement
my a4 is less than 5 years old and in the past 3 months, everything seems to be breaking down. i recently paid ~$700 for some igniter thing (ok, it's clear i'm a girl....) $300 because the sunroof would open and close on its own and NOW, i am paying over $1,700 to replace the abs control unit. should i be having so many problems for a car that isn't very old?

Mine died a few months ago
car's only 3 years old...ABS unit started leaking brake fluid out a little weep hole on the side. Sucks not having brake fluid to stop with 
if you want I can find the reciept for the parts and labor to see what it was. I only paid 50 bucks covered under extended warranty.

my abs light and break light came on...with that annoying beeping noise. anyway, the FIRST time i took it in, they did a diagnostic and told me there wasn't anything wrong with the car. they just cleaned it up and sprayed some crap on it. anyway, i picked it up and a couple hours later, lights blinking and beeping!
anyway, they just told me that that's happening because the abs control panel or unit is broken and needs to be replaced.......and they were very sorry.
as for going to a salvage yard for a replacement...you obviously missed my comment about being a female (although, i'm sure there are many women out there who are very knowledgeable and experienced about auto mechanics....i am not one of them). what would i do with it once i got it???? : )
