Things are finally getting done. I can see the progress now and my car is first priority in the shop.

Default Good question,...

I don't know what to expect. I just know that I NEED it to beat 911 Turbo's and 911 GT3's (12.2-12.4 sec 1/4 mile). My goal is to beat a Carerra GT (11.xx) and I'll see how reasonable that is when we get the car up and running. I think it can be done.

How can my project car be slower than the daily driver? That would **** me off. And I would like to beat my dad's Carerra GT at the track if he's up for it someday.

Default No unfortuneately,...

I have to say no. I dumped off all the AEM setup since there was no way it would have stayed dry (away from rain and moisture) if we set up where it was intended. The AEM system is probably great, but I don't think I'll ever know. Lowell at L&R used to be responsible for the car. However, nothing got done and there was a lot of $ involved and no results.

Now I've switched shops and the people who have made the VR6 Turbo MkII Golf putting out 580hp to the wheels, a turbo VR6 MkIII Golf putting 350hp to the wheels - people at Momentum Motor Parts are building the car for me. They are great guys and have delivered their promises. They are familiar with the Tec3 so that's why the switch.

Default I'm more than a year late!!

Hey Steve,

I hope all is well with your car. I've been told it was getting done for so long and it's about 2 years late. But now things are running fine. The engine is rebalanced, new pistons replaced the old ones Lowell melted, new turbo, new downpipe, new crankshaft, all the smaller issues.

Now for the wiring of the Tec3 and initial programming. Then the intercooler nitrous sprayer. Then dyno tuning it with Jeremy at Matrix Engineering. And then hopefully at some competition with more 1.8T's. =)

I'll keep you guys updated. Take care!
