Default clearly a very light car

Pretty amazing. It looks like the track may be falling away there also.

Default Ahhhh....Hans Stuck at Lime Rock in early 80s...

that is the climbing turn at LRP. See the friendly track workers in the background. This was the 650hp tube frame wonderQuattro.

There is a short straight before the righthander which heavily loads the car in the apex of the turn as you begin up the hill (added grip). If you are Hans Stuck in a 650hp Audi, the suspension is unloading as you are cresting the hill and hence, you get a wheelie.

Keep in mind that he is doing well over 80 in this picture and held these wheelies for well over 100 feet before it gently came back to earth. He did this lap after lap after lap after lap.

It was amazing.

Early '80s? Try the 1989 IMSA series.

Default Legend has it that....

Sam Posey still holds the altitude record here, in a Trans-Am car, set sometime in the 70's. That hump today is a mere shadow of its former self. Good thing, too.

Default no, the uphill has not changed . . .

they added the chicane after the Nissan GTP car did an endo. That is all that has changed.

I was on that track before and after the paving and before and after the chicane was in place. Only the chicane was added. The uphill is as it always has been, only smoother.

Default Listen up there sonny, back in my day....

....young whipper snappers didn't talk back to their elders.

If memory serves me, you are at least as old as I am.

Mike O.

P.S. - are you doing the NH Instructor's clinic or PDA at LRP on 3/28 or 4/13?
