have you ever spun the oil pump with a drill ? .. it takes a surprising amount of torque to turn it.
i machined mine like the one above, but kept the radius where the shaft gets wider for the bearings

aeb & atw? anyway looks like a useless mod, i'd be more concerned in taking weight away from the
engine block crankshaft cams etc before losing a maybe .5 lb of metal off the car.

You must really have a built engine done really 2 be thinking of this
You might get 1/2 hp out of this. 2 get a real gain, eliminate it and run a dry sump. I think this would be the definition of a waste of money and time.

I'm building my engine now and looking into options while I have it apart.
Thanks for the advice. @ the minimum my plan is to send it to the machine shop for balancing. I'm having the crank,flywheel,and pressure plate balanced as well.
