Default Re: Billet Intermediate Shaft?

have you ever spun the oil pump with a drill ? .. it takes a surprising amount of torque to turn it.

i machined mine like the one above, but kept the radius where the shaft gets wider for the bearings

Default How much HP do you think this mod would be good for?

Would it be worth the expense?

Thanks

Default aeb & atw? anyway looks like a useless mod, i'd be more concerned in taking weight away from the

engine block crankshaft cams etc before losing a maybe .5 lb of metal off the car.

Right! This might be similar to runnin lw pulleys without all the dampening issues.

Default You must really have a built engine done really 2 be thinking of this

You might get 1/2 hp out of this. 2 get a real gain, eliminate it and run a dry sump. I think this would be the definition of a waste of money and time.

Default I'm building my engine now and looking into options while I have it apart.

Thanks for the advice. @ the minimum my plan is to send it to the machine shop for balancing. I'm having the crank, flywheel, and pressure plate balanced as well.
