Camber woes!
Put my car on the alignment machine at work and discovered why im tearing up my driver side tire on the inside. My camber is so far into the negative that it cant be fixed.
Dont ask me why theres no camber adjustment on these cars, its rediculous. The only way to adjust it is by shifting the subframe to even them out as much as possible, which is completely stupid.
So I pull up the table of measurements and the driver side front is FAR into the red, about 1.56 degrees negative while the passenger side is only about -1.10, so I loosen up the subframe and even them out to still keep me in the red on both sides now. From here theres not much more I can do.
I know the problem lies on the driver side due to an accident a while back but I paid top dollar to get the frame straight. I guess you sometimes dont get what you pay for.
Leaves me with not much I can do. Is a camber adjusment kit my only source of a solution, such as the CPP upper arm kit from AWE? I really dont think those links are worth the $700 they are going for. I just spent well over a $1000 on all new control arms, tie-rod end, sway bar links and everything else to get my car at one with the road. I guess being that I just put all new arms in stiffened everything up so now the problem is really showing.., its bad.
This really sucks...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

1.5 isnt bad really...
that's what I've run for quite a while.
Just make sure to rotate tires enough and it'll be a non-issue IMHO. By the time you notice excessive wear on the inner edge, it'll be time for tire replacement anyway.

I know its not *that* bad but...
My car is a daily driver kind of car, not too much of a performing vehicle, you know?
Having to rotate the tires more often than I should is something im not looking foward to doing. Being that Audi's spec is -.25, being this far into the red seems bad to me. I would like to keep it at least (-.50 - -.75). To me, this would be more optimal.

you can source a homemade or pieced-together assembly...
find some 3/4" 7075 aluminum hex stock and have it bored and threaded at each end (L/R threads). Then find a couple Heim joints with the appropriate size ball center bores. It's really an easy task for a machine shop long as you can give them dimensions.
I could easily make these for about $70 per unit, parts & labor, and I even have the hex stock sitting around, but my plates a little full right now.

FWIW. WYSIWYG ran a camber adjustment system that was quite a bit cheaper than the CPP links. Maybe
shoot him an email and ask who's they were. My memory is an OZ outfit makes them ..
Also, you could always raise the car a little ..
