FMIC Question?
I have a 2001 DBW A4 1.8T Quattro
Does a Z flow FMIC cool air better than a normal style FMIC?
About to pull the trigger on the ATP GT2871R Turbo Kit w/Mika Tuned software and also want to get a FMIC.
Looking at DUH and APR right now.
Recommendations?

Have you been able to find out how the MIKA software is holding up?
I have been trying to keep an eye out for any new or updated posts about the MIKA but have not seen a thing since those guys pulled the trigger on the ATP set-up. No news is good news?

I have been thinking for a while as well.
I am leaning towards the racetec fimc. My requirements are fit stock bumper, and match my turbo flow. I am confused if it is the same as the SPP version. Too lazy to link.

do they still make the Z-flow? i thought there were a few prob.s w/ it....
they are making a new regular stule one now, i think.
from what ive read the Z-flow is better for K03 and K04, its very efficent, the regular style seems to be better for bigger turbos.
the greddy kit seems pretty badass, its BIG and requires S4 or RS4 bumper i think, wich isnt a problem, you already have an RS4 style one. I think its fairly inexpensive too, $800 rings a bell at one source (not the one in link, look around)

http://www.importperformance.com/greddy/intercooler.html

I run an EVO FMIC with my APR S3 kit. fits behind the stock bumper with some minor trim.
You will have to cut the pipes and use these hose connections to get the fogs to fit back in.

the grilles don't fit. I still need to fab some RS4 type mesh in there.

We have lift off---> read the little write up next to 01.12.05 in the Announcements on the right.
The DYNO results posted are for an 01' from Ontario (TAPP Auto did the work). This is really tempting, especially with starting a second job waiting tables in the next week or so.
