Funky noise
I have an '03 1.8T Quattro Manual with an APR Stage 1, Otherwise all stock. In 4th, and especially 5th, under heavy throttle, I hear a low pitch rumble and slight vibration coming from the rear for about 5 seconds. This only does it once or twice, and only in chipped mode. Anyone experience this?? Any suggestions??

Try it in 2nd or 3rd, at lower RPM's. Sounds like it may be normal...
Your engine vibrations may be getting carried through the exhaust, and the rear section may just be either resonating, or actually contacting the body of the car. Have a friend shake the tail pipes while you're in the drivers seat, see what it sounds like....

If I accellerate hard 1st through 5th, I don't get the noise. It only does this two or three times, then goes away. If I switch to stock mode, I get no noise. Could this be a problem with the chip? The car seems to run fine.
