GIAC map is MIA
My '04 Audi went in for scheduled maintenance and as luck would have it they found a coolant and axle leak and kept the Audi.
Finally got my car back after 5 days and it didn't seem as peppy. Thought maybe I got used to the '07 2.0 that they gave me as a loaner.
Connected the GIAC Handheld Flashloader Switcher, selected "read", and the LED just flashed, couldn't select the 93 octane or stock map.
I fear that the dealer may have flashed my ECU. I did note on my receipt something about...
"EVAP CODE STORED, PERFORM UPDATE PER TSB A010508"
I just emailed GIAC and the folks that flashed my ECU begging for mercy.
I would hate to think that I have to spend another $500 to have the software re-installed.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks

Re: AFAIK it's fairly common, you should get a re-flash if you're able to show proof of purchase
That sounds promising and yes I do have the original receipt.
Thanks for the reply
