Hard pipes?
What are the advantages of hard pipes to replace rubber hosing? For instance:
1. IC to throttle body
2. turbo to IC
Seems the IC to throttle body hose is very convoluted, that can be made much cleaner and straight.
Disadvantages? Pricing seems pretty reasonable for these things

rubber expands or contracts depending on how much boost or vacuum...
Interior volume changes, and that could cause momentary pressure drops, and then slight surging when excess pressure is built up by hoses returning to normal formation

i'm with mike, you need some rubber to isolate the car from the engine
unless you want a front dts
silicon hoses are actually pretty hard especially the straight ones - you'll need a couple of hump hoses for some flex

I would hate to see what happens when the
motor snaps a motor mount with all hard pipes in there. I did get to see a S4 break both motor mounts, cracked all the rubber lines to the IC and even put 2 large dents in the hood. This happened at Carlsbad after they put the new clutch in the night before. I bet that was a long flat bed ride all the way back to LA.
