Default HELP GIAC CHIP PROBLEM!!

Hi, I bought a GIAC chip for my 2000 Audi A4 1.8t manual about a year and a half ago. Recently I my car has just shut its self down to running at 5psi and no more. Also it is causing my MIL indicator to come on. I tried unpluging my ecu and then plugging it back in and let it reboot but that did not work. I also tried putting my stock chip in my car but my car failed to start. So i put back in my GIAC chip and rebooted and the car seemed back to normal boosting at 16psi. After driving the car for no more than 10 minutes the car would not boost anymore and it was back to only 5psi. What am I supposed to do here? Anyone else have this problem and fixed it?? GIAC wont return my e-mails....
Thank you
Tim

Default Check your vac lines?

I was having some issues with mine, also a 2000.

I replaced all the cloth vac lines, and it's much better. Also got a new Bailey DV from AWE-Tuning.

I did NOT get a CEL though... You should scan your car to see what's up.

Good luck!

Default Giac will NOT return any e-mails. However, you'll find their authorized..

dealers to be very helpful. You can contact awe-tuning, pes-tuning or the dealer where you purchased the chip. In the past I have been guilty of blaming the chip although the culprit was just bad maf. Now I'm a firm believer that Giac chips are sound (have 2 cars that are Giac chipped). My advice is to put your stock ecu in the car and take it to your dealer. I bet something else is causing the limp mode. Also, you can use Vag-com to determine what is going on. Good luck.

Default Problem is not the chip...

something else with the car...
Chips either work or they don't (they car won't even start)
Start diagnosing the car's problem now....

Default Start with bpv, vac lines and the IC hoses might have a rip in it.

Someone else had a problem with the stock IC leaking too. All of these problems would cause a limp code.
