Increase Power
Your looking at:
Intake, exhaust, headwork, revised engine management, head work, raised compression, cams, etc., etc.
And you'll probably lose a lot of low-end power in the process.
You'd be better off picking up a 1.8T and dropping it in.
After my modified 12v died a painful death at PIR (as a backup engine in the Stasis A4), I had to replace my motor.
It was an easy choice. I decided to buy a whole 1.8T motor with the wiring harness, ECU and clutch instead of buying another 12v motor. Since I already spent well over $15k in performance upgrades to only get about 230hp from the 12v, I decided to get the 1.8t and do some minor mods for a lot less money (including the cost of the entire 1.8t motor).
After that, I'm saving my money for a new body style S4 when it comes out!
