Wideband monitors true exhaust content.......
air/fuel meter reads what the ECU thinks the front O2 sensor should be reading. I've seen the wideband reading lean(15-16 to 1), yet the meter reading a full 1.0 volts(max rich). I like having both for initial tuning, since it shows me that the motronics is learning, with the front o2 sensor voltage bouncing back & forth. Under WOT it just goes full rich, & the wideband & EGT gauge are the only things that don't lie to me :-)
In the future I plan on an electrical boost gauge there, since the defi hud only reads to 1.6 bar, & I'm bouncing off that now.
