new project

i currently have a 2001 A4, however, the payments are catching up to me, and I can only get about 350hp out of it.

I'm looking to buy an older audi (4 wheel drive), and just drop a new engine in it. Now, does anyone know of any good, solid, powerful engines that give me a good start to my project, and if so, what audi would it fit in (maybe an H-22 equivalent if there is one for audi's). I'm looking for an older model for price reasons, but I have alot of money for the engine.

is there any way to buy the 4.2 twin turbo engine without the car??? and if so, where would i find one and how much would i be looking at?

There are many 4000 quattros and urQuattros for sale in the 2000-3000 range.

I know of two in Austin for sale in that price range which have 10V turbo motors

They are light and can take anything from a 10V or 20V straight five turbo or even a 3.6 liter V8
