ok, dumb question . . .
I just picked up a Boost gage and know I have to hook the vacuum line somewhere on the engine, but I don't know where!
this is my first turbo car and I have no idea where I am supposed to be getting this vacuum hook from.
I have a 180TTQ.
Thanks.

You should have two vaccuum lines on your intake manifold, pick one and T-in Baby... different....
opinions on which one to use though... one goes to your FPR and the other to your turbo..
I used the FPR line, but i didn't know better (don't want that lineleaking)

Plastic is fine
but brass is nicer. I'd go brass if I were making high boost. The brass will be more suitable for higher temps.
Look for a 5/32" T connector. You should be able to get one from any auto parts source.

I replaced everything
OEM clamps on the A4 are too tricky for me, and i think the right T-connects are only available from counter-type auto parts stores. I replaced the vacuum hosings and clamps, and also the hose to the meter for stock look and flexibility.
Keep a backup rubber cap in your car to plug the T, just in case your lines fail

Actually this is not a good idea. If you do so, especially if your modded...
you could affect the pressure at the FPR. You REALLY don't want to do that. I'd suggest a less critical connection, like the opposite end of the manifold, where the vac goes to the BPV... That way any troubles at the boost gauge reflect a problem with the BPV....
