OK, what the hell is goin on? ..................
I changed my oil today, IT WAS PURE BLACK!! after only 2k miles. I didn't beat the **** out of the engine or nothing, could this be because i hydro locked her about 3-4 months ago? I changed the oil right away, right after I hydro locked it. Whats up with the engine, could there be internal damage, like a bent rod? thanks guys

The 1.8T just needs to clear its throat...
...so follow these instructions. First, you might want to warm it up. Put it in neutral (with the parking brake on) and just stand on the gas. DO NOT let off the gas - hold it to the floor. The engine will bounce off the rev limiter and make some really neat sounds. It might take 90 seconds to two minutes but I think things will become very clear shortly.

Is this a performance question or is the A4 forum so friggin' stupid...
that no one will answer an on-topic question?
Get the oil tested by any of the three major labs. That will tell you everything you need to know without wild speculation. (Companies and sample results in archives.)
If you had a bent rod, the oil would not get any darker.
