Default question about engine longevity

i have a 2001 1.8t. in the near future i am planning on going either apr stage 3 or pes t-28, depending on which i like better after driving them. with proper maintenance, how long should i expect my engine to last? i havent' heard of too many big problems from either kit, but you guys seem to know your stuff far more than any other board. also, for more horses, without going internal, what are my other options? both kits with have a fmic, i will add a high flow cat to the t-28, and an debating going intake if i go stage 3. i already have an EFK. any other things you guys can think of to help my car out? perhaps an oil cooler.

thanks a lot.

Default Help out: Induction mods?! Think about . . .

replaceing the MAF screen with a MAF horn and boring the MAF body out. Replace all "rough-inner-surface" accordion tubes that you may have with smooth silicone and/or aluminum tubes.

I have heard that you 1.8t owners can also do some porting and polishing of the Throttle body like us 12v'ers, but not as extreme as ours.

If you want some extreme ideas check out the posts of John Baas, AKA Xr4tic and ask him for ideas. He knows 1.8t's better than almost everyone.

Default 192,000 of beating the crap out of my car!

50+ track events, at least chipped since 10,000 miles. Bigger turbo since 50,000 miles running anywhere from 17-22psi.

Don't worry about it...the 1.8T can handle it.
