Racing at Daytona
A very nice Thank You to Steve Sherwood and Neil McGarry on the Audi S4/S4 Comp racing article. It takes many, many man hours plus untold dedication to put together a successful racing effort....not to mention the large amount of money involved. We are currently still at the shop preparing to leave tomorrow for Daytona. 2:00/3:00 am is a normal quitting time on the week before a race. I usually work seven days a week, of which part of each day is spent on the race car itself or part of the race program.
It also takes more than just the work on the car. It takes the spirit of all involved...both directly and non-directly to put it all together. It takes the pride of doing a good job...putting forth extra time and effort to be competitive. But....it also takes the fans of motor racing to make it all worthwhile. People such as those on this forum. The support and encouragement makes the goal obtainable. The e-mails...the phone calls...the well-wishers...some pretty nice guys (and gals) are on this forum.
Steve Sherwood has made part of it fun with his quick wit and logic(?). All of the local DFW Audi guys are so supportive. Their help last Saturday to load the trailer and inventory parts was much appreciated.
From ISTOOK/AINES Motorsport Group...we THANK YOU.
We are a proud sponsor of AUDIWORLD and will do our best at the Motorola Cup two hour race at Daytona. John Rutherford and I will be doing the driving...watch for the results!!

Cowabunga....remember...shiny side up
Logic?
Hey, wasn't I the best ice retriever you ever
had? I can really drive the golf cart well....
and I vacuum pretty well too.
Good luck...I wish you no brake pedal fade...many nice downshifts...and I can't wait to taste
some more of that excellent Istook cuisine.
BTW, I finally decide to buy that E30 325i race car...should take deliver in a week or two.
