Replacing center resonator???
I have a 1999 A4 1.8TQ Tip with the Supersprint muffler. Because of the tiptronic transmission I was not able to go with replacing the entire exhaust. My Supersprint has been great but it is awfully quiet. If I have the center resonator replaced with a free flow resonator (glass pack??)will that increase power? How about the sound? I don't want to sound like a Honda with a coffee can muffler but rather something a little deeper. Any opinions or sugguestions are greatly appreciated.

Glasspacks are not for audi's....trashy..
If you replace the center resonator with anything that is performance it will be louder...I had my center resonator out with my exhaust...a bit too loud.
Also I would suggest that you dont mix and match or go with custom stuff. There is a reason that companies come out with complete kits. They are made then tuned. The sound is tuned I mean. But I guess you don't have an option...you should give supersprint a call and ask them for there suggestion.
