Default Round 2 on the dyno....

This time with the factory exhaust. I drive on the street with the factory exhaust and never removed it on the dyno. We were doing idle, part throttle, and decel tuning and couldn't resist some WOT runs. So car has 3" testpipe then merges into factory exhaust system. Enjoy!

Default Interesting, only 30 whp off with stock exhaust & 4 psi less!

What do you think you would have gotten @ 22psi with the dump?

Edit: OK sorry you say your making more now @ 26psi with the dump. What adjustments on the dyno really seem to make more power, More Boost or More Timing?

Default What are you going to start with on pump?

I have always started low on boost and brought it up gradually. Also I have always found a good rule of thumb to reduce 7 degrees timing for every 10 pints of octane subtracted, then fine tune on up/down. I think the EGT's get real important after you get close and I usually find a car runs almost as good and lasts about 10 times as long with EGT's on the lower half of the acceptable range. In my car no more than 870c. I could certainly tune it leaner but longevity is much better this way. More timing cools the exhaust gases.
Did you do a timing/boost/A/F trace? I liked the curve much better with the exhaust on the car, were they 2 diff. programs or the same prog. w/just the boost/exhaust change? It is nice you can spend a lot of time tuning on the dyno this is truly the best way to tune a car in if you know how 2 tweek what you want 2 change/ after that its just hot rodding.
Please post a pump gas run, I want to see what it does on the street juice.
Good luck
Rod
