Default Securing "Stuff"

Anyone have a suggestion as to how to secure various stuff so that it doesn't shift during driving? I'd love to have a solution for short-term haulage - plastic shopping bags but also the longer-term stuff too.

I carry permanently stuff like glass cleaner, quick detailer (for cleaning bird ****, etc. whilst away from home and hose), windshield cleaner solution and maybe a quart of the rarely-available 0W-40. Is there anything that would fit in the trunk that would secure and silence this stuff - also contain (say) a ruptured quart of oil?

BTW, I found some neat hangers that attach to the headrest support posts but the damn things require 1/2" posts or they'll flop their way off to the back seat floor - maybe someone has some use for them - http://properautocare.com/hr-1014.html

Thanks!
