Some of my simpler mods - just getting started...

The car is currently in many pieces in my backyard and the interior is completely gutted. Over the next few weeks I'll be doing several major upgrades - the kind that cost a lot of money and aren't really seen. Namely, the clutch/flywheel and getting the engine balanced and blueprinted. In the meantime, I've been doing a couple smaller cosmetic things...
This is my factory shiftknob redone in yellow leather. I took the stock **** apart and used the existing piece of leather as a template and made a new one out of leftover leather from my shift boot (later on). The stitching isn't perfect, but at least it's genuinely handmade.

The boot is a Momo, and I took out the Momo insert for their shift ***** and used the plastic piece from the Audi shift boot. This way, the shift **** screws down the same as stock, and mates up perfectly with the boot like the factory setup. Sorry I don't have a picture of it in the car.

Finally, here's a picture showing my crappy looking dash (what it looks like after the covering and foam padding is removed). I'm showing this so I can later post a finished picture to see the difference. You can see where I've sanded down rough spots on the dash and started to make my gauge pod. I'm keeping the two side vents and the windshield defroster vent. Eventually, the entire dash will be covered by Kevlar and finished (I haven't decide on a color yet). It should look a lot better than now.

And AndyA6, I don't think you know quite what dangonay is looking for. I wish I could scare up a picture. He's looking to make a custom color-coded interior. There are some very pretty interiors of this type.
