Stand alone engine management?
#2
stand alone means just that...
they stand free of factory ECU operations.
The MoTeC m4 and Autronic smc are great deals for the money, and about the best you are going to find as far as quality and options are concered.
Look to spend upwards of 3k for a good system with the works.
You can get save some money if you are having a tuner tune the car for you. You won't need the wide band O2 option in that case.
If you plan to tune your self it is not an option.
do some research before jumping in, it will be worth your time!

Its not for beginners
There are alot of things you need to know before diving into stand alone. The computer will not run you car untill you set it up to. Quite a few parameters. But there are alot of nice features with it.
Plus, you wont EVER have to worry about not running properly because of poor tuning, unless its your poor tuning. :P
