Stasis coilover feedback requested
It has been a couple years since I did anything to my car and I am starting to get back into it. I have a 30V 2.8qm with one of the first Vortrag coilover kits sold (and Alcon B-types which are great). I have had problems with the rear springs rubbing the shock bodies because the spring perches do not locate the springs (I understand there are new perches to keep the springs away from the shocks). I have also not been happy with the ride because I don't think the damping was ever set right. I started out with 450F/500R springs and I am now using 350F/375R.
I talked to Paul at Stasis and he thought that a 500F/600R setup would work well on my car. Because of my previous experiences, I am a little hesitant to spend big $$ on a reworked version of the suspension I have now.
I live in Chicago and there are a lot of roads in poor condition with chipped surfaces, cracks, potholes, and lots of patch work. I would like to get feedback from anyone who owns or has driven/ridden in one of the Stasis setups with their middle range of spring rates on real Midwestern roads in a daily driver type of car.
The alternative is to go with something like the Neuspeed Bilsteins and some off-the-shelf springs. I don't care about lowering, but I want the car to handle well and still ride OK.
I have not been on a track in a couple of years, but I want to get back into doing 1-4 driving schools a year. I am leaning towards a coilover because down the road I might be able to make this a track car, but that is at least 4 years away.
Thanks!

Do you spend much time in the city or mostly out in the suburbs? In the city, a lot of the roads are constantly undergoing resurfacing so I am driving around on semi-unpaved roads (with the top layer of asphalt missing). There are also a lot of roads which are just a bunch of patches or with a lot of those metal plates the city likes to use.
If the Stasis custom Koni's result in a good ride even with the higher spring rates, that is what I would like to get. If not, I will probably go with a Bilstein/H&R (or Neuspeed) sport setup. I am a little skeptical about the "magic" shock valving which makes a 600 lb/in spring great for everyday driving.
Have you ever had a pitching/bucking motion on the highway with your setup?
