Default Throttle cutting...

Ok, first here are the details:

2000 1.8T 018Q ECU
ko4
GIAC k04's k31 (NOT j31) program
SMIC
High flow cat
Borla exhaust

I'm boosting at about 27psi and after about 2-4 seconds in WOT, the throttle cuts to 30%. No codes are being thrown.

Does anyone have any idea why? I have logs of block 003, 032 and 114.

Default I hit ~23psi on my K03 once when the wire going to the N75 was accidentally left disconnected

I have no idea if that's your problem.

Default Agreed....

But why is my throttle cutting? I have a feeling it is becuase the program doesn't have the code to override that. The j31 program overrides the throttle cut.

Default K31 does, J31 doesn't....

I need to fool the pressure sensor to think that it has less boost than it reports.

I smell the diode fix coming on.

Default Charge Pressure Exceeded.. not all ECUs will store this...

...as it is a momentary cut to safe mode. And in a moment you're back at full power again.
You are in danger land... the KO4 can take the pressure but stock internals can't you are pushing over 1.6 bar.
Piston rods can fracture and blow a hole in your block. (family experience)

Big Turbo Software? No Diode fix needed.

Default you need to run a map clamp........

To keep your tb from closing @ that high of boost.

Default You want the J31 chip not the K31. There were issues with the older K31 chips.

J31 is the one that will not close the throttle since it is based on my M31 K03 chip which ran 24psi. If you want a chip that runs less boost then you need to get the K05 version chip, which runs 22psi.

Dont do the diode fix for these chips, it will just confuse the ecu since IIRC the boost ratio is just changed. This is why you will only see a 2500 mbar reading at 28psi.
