Default underdrive pulleys

hey out there can anyone or has anyone put underdrive pulleys on there a4 1.8t quattro. I'm looking at unorthodox "s" pulley and the calm of 8-12 hp on the 1.8t. My question is, does anyone have this pulley or one like it, and are they just trouble for the engine in the long run. Hear they have caused engine wear on the VW VR6 engines hope someone can give and idea on these pulleys.

Default Had the same one on my '97 silver A4.

I used it in conjunction with SPP's EFK, and ran the serpentine belt without any fan pulley at all. Only problem with it is it's a better mod(12+ lb loss vs 5 lb+/- loss) to do a lightened flywheel/clutch package, and they can't be used together(creates a lack of inertia=crappy idle). With just the underdrive pulley I had no problems and I say it's a good mod, make sure you have the right size/length belts for it, too. If you want one, I'll sell you mine (since both of my A4's are getting flywheels), email me.
