Default Undetectable Chip Upgrade ???

I just recieved the following E-Mail & I am Interested in your opinions on undetectable performance modifications. Im going to contact them anyway but I'd also be interested in any +VE or -VE feedback

Cheers.... Heres the E-mail

Hello

I am pleased to inform you that we now offering the most advanced switchable
performance upgrade on the market for your car.

We can now enhance the performance without opening the bonnet which means
that the chip is totally undetectable when switched off, even if the ECU is
removed & opened by an Audi dealer or insurance company, this step forward
in car performance enhancement has many substantial benefits over the
competition.

Please call me on the number below or use my direct email address for more
info on pricing & booking dates.

Default Re: Undetectable Chip Upgrade ???

Its APR stuff, and if its anything like what we get here in the US, its good. The A4tq has the 1.0bar chip in it, works very well...I haven't heard anything bad about FlipSwitch, which is what Fontain is talking about. Perhaps someone on here that has the APR EMCS/FlipSwitch can elaborate?

To quote APR:

"FlipSwitch
Enables you to swap between two or more engine programs on-the-fly using the cruise control stalk. All cars have stock and standard chipped program versions available. Valet, race-gas, and other specialty programs are available for some models."

Hi Guy's

Just to clear this up. What Fontain are talking about is indeed the Revo Technik software. Fontain was appointed an official Revo Technik dealer last week and will be offering Revo software for the South West London area.

regards
Mark

Default I have SOME answers

I contacted Fontain Motors Ltd .

The system sounds Great.

All I have to do is plug a small device into the diagnostics socket, it beeps & then you take it back out.
It will change my 1.8T from 150bhp to 180-190bhp

Sounds good to me !!!

If i want to change it back to normal (as if) all i have to do is plug the device back in & it will change it back to normal.

They didnt have any details on the change in torque. If anybody out there has any more info please let me know.

Default so it's the Dongle from RevoTechnik...

The only one thing I wanted to know is while you reprogram the ECU, does it erase all the error codes an ECU might throw in the meantime or do they remain stored in there so that the dealer can read them when you come in for a check-up to alert to you any possible maintenance that you need done.

And what about boost history that is stored in ECU memory? Does that get erased as well when you reload the stock program?

Here's the info on the Dongle recently posted on the TT forum:

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/824796.phtml</a

Default Re: Is this Revo's "original work" ?

All of the Revo Technik technology and tuning is original and proprietary.
The Revo engineers started from scratch when developing this new technology and when doing the tuning. Everything is all new.
Only the people behind this new technology have been around the industry for a few years now.

Default I see. So the idea that 'the people behind this "new" technology' developed their knowledge and

perhaps much of this technology while in the employ of APR isn't relevent?
