Ok.. so in the back of my mind I knew it was 50-50 for the Insurance co to cover the 7.5", turbo induced , not dyno tuned, lean running, blown hole in the 1.8T (GTI). They said no.

The "pay off" deal also fell through.. the guy got gready and doubled the price.

So conventional methoods will prevail.

We found a 2001 AWP engine with only 1000 miles on it. so they say... for $1400.00.

Now to do the swap...

Throw out all the mods... the T3-T4 Turbo.. the new injectors...The New 3" Exhaust the HP Clutch and flywheel... Even I wouldnt do that.


I turns out he has a buyer for the car 22K and he knows about the motor replacement..

Take the $$ and run son.
