I just installed the shortshifter and was wondering if anyone of you had problems screwing the shift **** back on with the new shifter. Mine seems to be a bit short. The **** does not reach the treads on the lever for some reason. Maybe i did something wrong???
Any ideas?

Small circlip is not properly engaged in the recessed groove on shifter shaft, causing shifter to drop.

I ran into this as well. On the shifter boot, there is a plastic tube that can be screwed off. Funny, the instructions don't mention anything about this.
