Misfire Code

Some time ago, we recd a code that said my daughters Q3 was misfiring, I drove it, and yes it was sluggish. Brough it into a Euro Mechanic, he is better than our local Audi location, we had the Walnut Blasting done, problem was fixed car runs. That was maybe a year ago. Recently, we had another check engine light, another code for the Camshaft. Took it in, they said it "needed oil" and an oil change, I get that done on the regular as is, but it seems to have fixed it for now. All this seems fishy or fake. Can someone guide me, tell me what it sounds like is going on, what we should look out for or what we should do to get his fixed for sure. I notice the car sometimes doesn't ride as smooth as I think it should, I don't get a misfire, but still sems rough or sluggish.

Hard to believe but probably true. We had a Nissan Maxima that would throw a "camshaft position sensor" error every time I didn't change the oil within 5K.
