Default Audi 3G MMI & Navigation - Experience

I am very impressed with Audis 3G MMI & Navigation, it is very easy to use. If you have had experience with the last generation MMI then you will have no problems with the new 3G MMI. I wanted to invite you to leave your feedback with the features and functions you like or that you have heard about and thought would be nice.

Audi 3G MMI - Navigation

Thank you!
I have a little experience with Audi Navy (only during our test drive).
Few question:
Can you turn off guidance voice?
Can you change male/female voice?
Can background light change day/night?
Is it possible to display few POS, say gas station and post office at the same time?
How big is address book? 50 addresses, 100, 200?
Can you enter few destination and NAVY generate a optimal way to drive?

1. Yes voice guidance can be turned on and off
2. No you're stuck with the same voice
3. Yes the back lighting changes and you can adjust the display brightness
4. Yes you can individually select what POIs you want on the screen.
5. I have no idea on the new one. 150 used to be the old directory limit.
6. Yes you can enter a Navi destination while driving or multiple stops. There is a way to tweak fastest vs shortest route.

One more that very important to my wife: "Go Home" button. In your MDX we program that button with our home address (sorta, few house down in case some still the car) - can I do the same with Audi Navigation?

Yes. Add it to the directory and make it a top destination.

Default Nav Question

Hi, I'm a future A4 or Q5 owner. I have a question about both of the MMI's for the A4 and Q5. Can you adjust or change the destination while driving? I assume you can change it with voice commands, but can you adjust it with the *****? Obviously, it's not safe to be messing with the Nav while driving, but the nice thing about a stand alone nav is that the passenger can adjust it while the driver drives.

Appologize if this has already been answered.

Thanks
Brian

There is no 'Go Home' button like the one in Acura as I know (I've used the 05 touch screen Navi in TSX before). However, there is a 'Name' feature which you can give a 'name' to locations and get stored into memory. Mine is Canadian version. Of course it's not as quick as the 'Go Home' button, but I guess it'll still work for your wife.
