Black Paints and Carbon Inlays
What's up all
I'm about to order my 2015 SQ5. I haven't been able to decide on an exterior black yet. For 2015 there's Mythos Black Metallic and Brilliant Black, I think. Anyone have pics so I can make a decision and order this bad boy? I'm opting for the Black optics package too, so pics would be awesome if anyone has this package already. Lastly, any reco's on the inlays?

I suspect this will end up being the better choice than solid but basic brilliant black -- personally I prefer the metallics, but brilliant black will be harder to care for, avoid swirls, etc.
As for inlines, no one talks about them, but I positively love the layered wood with aluminum inlays. They are unreasonably expensive, but never get aluminum, and I think they look classier than the carbon fiber.

Almost got the layered wood but I don't like the lines on the center console. The merge of both sides looks weird to me, and it also looks a little like a suit.
Aluminium is kinda blend and scratch easily according to many owner.
I've went the carbon fiber way. Love it. Superb with black interior.

In my case, I took a chance with Panther Black after seeing it on an R8. Pearl Black was the only other non-flat Black option that was available to me at the time.
If I were deciding today, I'd try to see the Mythos in person before deciding on Mythos or Panther as a final decision.

Thanks for the pics. I see the hint of brown in the panther black. I think I'm leaning towards Mythos Black Metallic without the Pearl Effect. But you're right, gotta try and see it person first. Do you love the car?
