Default Bluetooth issue

Hi, I have a new 2011 Q5 and a Blackberry Tour. When I paired my blackberry with the Q5 via bluetooth at the dealer it worked perfectly. Now it won't work. It's worked for a few hours here or there, but for the most part it just won't pair up anymore. I know how to enable bluetooth on my phone but it just keeps disabling once in the car. Has anyone experienced this? I'm fairly certain the problem is with the Blackberry (which I can't wait to get rid of), but was just curious if anyone else had the same issue and fixed it (short of getting a new phone)?

I tried to update to the new OS for Blackberry but apparently the Tour is not a candidate for the upgrade.

Thanks.

My BB Torch works fine ...

My BB Bluetooth Options:
1). Bluetooth = On
2). Discoverable = No
3). Under the "Paired Devices" = 'Audi MMI 8138' should be visible.

Do you keep your bluetooth on all of the time (on your blackberry that is)? I found it was eating my battery so I was disabling it when I wasn't in the car, that's when all of the issues started.

Thanks.

I have the BB Curve, and keep the Bluetooth on all of the time. Haven't had any issues.

Yes I keep my "Bluetooth" turned on all the time.
I recently just switched from the BB Curve to the BB Torch and I agree with you that battery life is shorter with the BB Torch.
I do not think that the battery burn rate is caused by the Bluetooth feature since it is only activated when you are in the car and the BB syncs with the Q5.

We have had a major issue with a Blackberry Bold and our Q5. It pairs OK, but a day or so the address book and call logs do not transfer over. Then, after a week or more, the Bluetooth part of MMI seizes all audio, thinking a call is connected, when in fact it is not. Been back to the dealer twice, it's the phone.

You need remove any pairing attempts that may be still in the Blackberry and the car.

If you are on Verizon, do a *228, option 1 to reprogram the phone.

Then, pull the battery on the Blackberry, wait a few minutes, and replace it.

Then, do a reset on the MMI system, it's in the manual.

Then pair the car and phone, and it will work. For a while...

I appreciate the thorough response and this did allow me to pair my Blackberry to the Q5. However when I got back into the Q5 later the Blackberry once again disabled the Bluetooth and wouldn't allow me to enable it. This phone is awful, I will never buy Blackberry again.

Did you happen to have wifi enabled on your BlackBerry? Would it improve if you disable wifi? Since both use 2.4GHz band, I've heard complains about interference before, especially when both are searching for signal/pairing etc

My Blackberry doesn't have WIFI on it, so it's not that. Thanks though.
