HD Radio?
My wife's out with the car, so I can't check myself right now.
But how do you turn HD Radio "on"? I tried tuning to a station that is supposedly broadcast in HD, but nada. Is there an option somewhere inside the MMI, I assume?
Thanks!

Pretty sure first you press radio then setup and its in that menu. I read somewhere on here that the dealer checklist tells them to make sure its off. Go fiqure.

probably because the HD radio has a tsb from the problems they had coding for it...
they turned mine off when I reported LOUD volume swings when going under bridges or any metal structures....

I live in San Diego, where FM reception is often spotty because of all the hills in the area, but for me, if there is an HD radio station, it just shows up and automatically goes to it,if it comes in. As I drive around, the station will shift in and out of HD, depending on the reception. When it does come in, in HD though, I think the sound quality is quite good. Definitely better than regular FM and Sirius. I also get HD AM on a channel or two.

Thanks for the replies. I had never realized that HD Radio was so problematic. Is this just an issue, overall, with HD Radio? Or is there a specific problem with Audi's tuner? I don't have HD Radio in my other cars to know.

Mine works exactly as SDCEB states. It automatically picks up and switches to the HD channels when available. Once it is in HD mode it will show any extra sub-channels on that channel / station. i.e. 93.5-1, 93.5-2, 93.5-3.
