2018 SQ5 Price Experience

After working with the local dealer on trim level and options, we got to price.

Short version: $500 off MSRP, i.e. prices in the Order Guide. I compared MSRP to Edmunds invoice prices, and the difference is about $4100 (SQ5 Premium Plus, Warm Weather, Cool Weather, Navigation). I also used Edmunds to get competitive quotes from other local dealers - they were all offering to sell at MSRP.

Is anyone experiencing anything else in terms of pricing and if so, where? I live in NC.

I think that is fairly normal for a new model. Prices will drop off after a few months.

The highest I have got was 2% off near Pittsburgh. Another dealership told me they would try to get 3%, but I never heard back to them. This was on a ~$50k Q5, not SQ5 by the way.

2% one dealer, 3% from 2 dealers using an internet inquiry. I think I could have got to 4% with one but didn't pursue it because of the distance. This fall look for 6%+.
At some point, convenience of location is worth more than price-must always consider warranty and service needs. IMO, there are times when being a loyal customer is important. Over the years I've had my share of unusual issues that need advocacy from the dealer.

SQ5 prestige, 2% here. Just placed the order at the dealer late Saturday. I dont have previous experience ordering...should I be getting an expected production date soon? They said Audi would be emailing me about it soon (not sure exactly what that will look like). Any else here have details?
