Coolant Leak?
Just took my 18 Q5 for 50k maintenance and one week later I turn on car and get a low coolant warning. There are some signs that look like the coolant may be leaking, but with just taking the car in last week shouldnt this have been checked out? I am now 200 miles out of warranty

Give the service dept a ring. 200 miles out of warranty they might be willing to help you out if you're pleasant
It's worth having a peek yourself for any signs of leaks. May be something very simple

The service dept said I have a cracked coolant reservoir. Charging me 350 for part and labor 1 week after my 50k service and 200 miles out of warranty. Kind of disappointed that the car went 1 week out of warranty before having an issue and I am sure this was already an issue but apparently the technician did not see any issues last week this is the same dealership that immediately after an oil change I had to come back as I had a low oil warning (supposedly they just didnt top it off after the oil change).

It should not happen and they should have goodwilled it, but still...you drive 50k miles a year and didn't purchase the longest extended warranty in existence since you are driving the crap outs that thing?

Coolant reservoir should not crack that soon...they do tend to do that but after 80-100k miles and some extreme temps.
You should be able to do that yourself for cheap or at least buy the part and take it to a 3rd party shop...don’t need an Audi tech to do a coolant tank.
And I agree Audi should step in an cover this...it’s a part that should not fail unless it was damaged by the tech or the part was defective from the factory. Being so close to the warranty and the fact this is such a simple fix I would call Audi North America and open a case. Take the car to another dealer if the dealer you used is not helping.

Just updating this ... the service dept did goodwill my previous issue but I had another coolant leak and was hoping it was just another cracked reservoir at 68k miles however this time I needed a new water pump and thermostat ($1500 fix). Really 470 but apparently the dealer charged 1k for labor remembering why they have that stealership nickname. Maybe I should of traded this in after that first coolant issue.

Sorry I did not take a picture of the cracked reservoir. I want to say there was 2 if I remember correctly and one of the cracks preventing the O-ring from sealing correctly?
