When we open the doors of our SQ5, the dome light does not come on, like it does most cars. The ambient light does, but the only way to make the dome light work is by pressing the light button, or pressing each individual LED light. The lower ambient lights DO come on when opening the doors...just not the dome light. Any ideas? The owner's manual says nothing about it.

Hint: look at the button next to the service call one.

I wondered the same thing the first day I had my SQ5. The button next to the service call button is your answer. When that's on, whichever door is open, the corresponding reading light will turn on. So, open driver door, the driver reading light will come one. Passenger door, passenger light turns on. Same with rear doors.
