Default Impressive - what was the Allroad's tow rating?

And I'm curious why the tow rating doesn't change based on engine - 3.6 vs. 4.2. Shouldn't the V8 theoretically have a higher tow rating? New to towing and I'm just wondering if it is possible to use my 3.6P to tow my track car.

tow rating has nothing to do with the motor... with suspension, chassis strength, and weight, GRVW

Yakima Customer Support here,

We saw the picture of Q7 and wanted to let you know that the LowRider tower is not an approved fit and use voids any warranty on the product. We would highy recommend that you stop using the LowRider Towers and instead use the RailGrab tower which is approved and covered by our warranty.
If you have any questions please contact customer support at 888-925-4621 M-F from 7 to 5 PT

Hah. Does Yakima have a warranty that offers more than 4 years of coverage? Ancient thread reply...
