Great app. Everything works on my 2008 except the needle sweep doesn't work on 2007 and 2008 US models. Only 2009+ I believe. Does anyone know if it works with vagcom? I also used Carista to switch my region to Northern European, now my tail lights are on with my DRLs.. I believe all cars should have front and rear DRLs. Why does the nhtsa not require this?

That's odd that you haven't set the sunroof to close with remote, but you do have it set to open. Being able to close the roof from afar if there's unexpected rain or an errant lawn sprinkler throwing water on your Q7 is very handy. Even if you promise you're self "I'll never leave it open", it just takes that one time to get you interior soaked and dry you MMI.

So, just curious why you configured this way? Oversight, or a reason to avoid this that I'm missing?

Living in Denver, we see way more sunshine than rain. As such, it's nice to be able to open up all windows and the sunroof while approaching the the car to "release the heat".

Nah, both of those need VCDS/VAGCOM cable+software to complete.
