A2DP adapter, will this work with our car?
well... i'm still searching for a A2DP solution..
there are few that can tap into car's power and AUX to our MMI system
found this one, it's design to turn iPod Speaker system into Bluetooth.... Our MMI has iPod's 30 pin connector which this should work. it draws power from the unit too.
has anyone tried this yet? i'm going to order one next week, hopefully it works.

So MMI 3G doesn't support A2DP? That seems like a error on Audi's part. I wonder if a new bluetooth module would add the feature. Do we know if MMi3G supports A2DP in Europe with the RSAP compatible BT modules?

Yes it does work.... its a lot cheaper than Audi's solution which doesn't even work with 3G MMI.
I ordered both iSkinz and Sprint version. Sprint one is on ebay for like $28 shipped
both of them works with factory iPod cable and i am able to stream music from my iPad using bluetooth to my stereo... sound quality is excellent and I don't have to worry about cables.
only bad thing is there is no info on which song is playing, i think that's just nature of A2DP
I'm going to return the iSkinz one and keep the sprint version (half the price)
Here is a link to a youtube video I found

The youtube video mentions that a modified ami ipod cable was used (see youtube comments), he disconnected all the ipod wiring inside the AMI cable, so all that was left was the audio and power, and added a resister to make the MMI think that an aux device is connected (see MMI screen shows aux device connected, not ipod).
I also saw a number of posts where others have tried the sprint anycom bluetooth with an unmodified AMI ipod cable and say it does not work with their MMI 3G.
Can you tell me how you managed to get it working, and what version MMI you have?

i will test the sprint one again later today.
i was able to pair it to my iphone with both units and i thought the sprint version was playing music
come to think of it, it might have been the iskin unit.
i'll check it again tonight
