Air Bag Light ON (N252)
As per the title, my Q7 (MY09) has an air bag light on with the following fault (from VCDS):
01589 - Igniter for Head-AirBag; Passenger Side (N252)
001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent - MIL ON
This indicates the passenger side curtain air bag. At first, I was able to just clear the code (via VCDS) and it was OK for a few days. However, now it is permanently ON and cannot be cleared.
I searched on the Internet and found a couple of similar problems and solutions, mainly for A4, but none for Q7.
What I could gather is that one of the connectors is either loose, or has bad connection.
Does anyone know where is this connector located and possibly provide steps on how to access it and fix it.
